The Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality wishes to inform residents and businesses in Koster that the planned power outage scheduled for today, 16 April 2026, has been postponed by Eskom.
Reason for Rescheduling
The postponement is due to persistent rainfall in the Rustenburg region over the past few days. The ground conditions at the Shylock Substation are currently too wet to allow heavy utility trucks and equipment to safely access the site.
Next Steps
- New Date: Eskom is currently reviewing the schedule. The Municipality will communicate the new date for the maintenance as soon as it is confirmed.
- Status of Supply: Power supply will remain active today as per the normal schedule until the new maintenance date is announced.
