Swartrugens dam is at its lowest and the municipality can no longer draw water from it. Water level record is at 1.1% as at 21 October 2024 ( North West Provincial State of Dams)
Meanwhile, water tankering is in place.
The Municipality continues to engage with other sector departments to seek assistance and intervention in this situation.

I am a new Swartruggrens resident, living in town. I have been paying for my own water delivery, ever since the taps, were shut. I spend R400, a week on water delivery only. This is is unsustainable for me, and my family. We need help asap!
